????

Lately, these are the things I have been feeling. I believe the term I have been using is "Biting of more than I can chew". I feel so confused and lost lately. I'm in such a hurry to make a career out of my life, that I haven't actually sat down to complete the steps. I feel I'm all over the place, that I'm back to the beginning. I have drifted away from so many of my goals this year and I don't know how to get myself back to them. *sigh* ....  Have you ever gotten to this point ???

Deployment, is also on my mind.Though its 6 months away its on my mind. We are already preparing and going to meetings for it. I think that was one of the reasons I took a creative break, is to spend more time with my family. I have been threw several already, and I know how the months can feel like they drag when your loved one is away. Scrapbooking can be a lot of work (lol).  Taking pics of your project, uploading it to several places, trying to keep in with the NOW, and submitting. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, I have also been letting others extreme negativity bother me. Which from prior experience doesn't make me a Happy Patty. So with a combination of these things I need to get back to my happy place .... I'm thinking I should start with slowing down and taking one step at a time, maybe weeding out some of that negative energy .... any suggestions??

Thanks for the vent. I normally don't post things like this on my blog, but since I have been taking so many breaks here and there this last month thought I would fill you in on whats been on my mind lately. Already starting to feel much better ....

The best advice i can give to you is to just sit down with yourself and really truly make decisions based on what you Need right now and what is going to make YOU happy. And not to be mean toward others, but screw anyone that tries to bring you down. That's the best thing i did for myself this past year, and i believe it has helped me tremendously. There comes a time when you have to stop pleasing everyone else and really concentrate on what's best for YOU AND YOUR FAMILY:):) Keep your head up and good luck with everything!

don't even think about what other people think. if they aren't your family and you are making positive changes then why does it matter?

Hi Patty. I have your blog posts emailed to my inbox and am a lazy yet loyal lurker here. I always enjoy your posts and all of the attention you give to them, as well as following your scrapping. I feel very comfortable here, and I think that is one of your talents. Also, I feel you are not just here to sell stuff, lol. That gets so old. I love real live people, warts and all. Don't stop being you, don't lose you. And don't stop blogging. I might be invisible, but I'm enjoying every post...and I bet I'm not alone. hugs xoxo, Aimeslee

There are no easy answers, are there? I find the more I simplify my life, go back to basics, make time for what's really important...family, cooking meals from scratch and baking cookies with lots of TLC. Spending time in the garden, reading, caring for our home, crafting for the enjoyment of it...the happier I am. The simplest things make me happy. I don't like complicated, busy busy schedules, demands, negative energy. Speaking of negative energy...tv! Commercials, bad shows, etc. We stopped watching tv a few years ago. We didn't just decide one day to stop. We just quite following shows and adding more to our DVR. You gain a lot of extra giving up tv and I don't even miss it. Well, I hope something I've said here helps! :) Knowing that you're not alone in this struggle of finding balance in your life is also helpful...we ALL have this issue and it's one that ever get solved. It's a work in progress. :)

Girl...I know how you feel! Goals are a great thing to set and work towards. But they don't have to be met in the time you set. Life happens, things come up! (Like deployment or in my case, bedrest!) Cut negative people out of your life and do what makes you happy, like spending quality family time together, while you can. That is something you will never regret!

WOW!! It's strange how on the same page we are but with just a little bit different circumstances. I understand how you feel about the negativity. I was going thru my reader when I came across your post. Just going thru the reader is depressing for me. All these other people making DT that I applied for or getting published where I submitted to. It's really frustrating for me to read.
So my first thing is limit computer time to an hour. You don't have to do every challenge, submit to every call, post everyone's blog candy or do another stupid blog hop (I've removed the term from my vocabulary. All they are are time suckers) and for what a minute chance at winning something.
Totally agree with the person that said this one, TV has to go. Completely give it up for a week and see how much more you get done. It's amazing. It seems like every new show is either a reality (Yeah reality my booty) or another crime show. Law and Order was one of my faves but I just had to stop watching it cuz of the negativeness.
Love the spend time with your family, you will never regret it. So true.
Setting goals is a good thing but don't linger on the disappointment when they don't happen in a timely manner. Like you said it is very time consuming to submit or do challenges.
Make limits for yourself. I am at the point where I only do challenges for cards I make twice a week. Because the other time sucker out of it is checking to see if you won. And then to see the same names week after week win-more negative.
Maybe build better or more solid organizational system to utilize your time the best and to narrow down which goals to accomplish first and how to happily attain those goals.
I have said probably way too much here and I apologize if I have in any way offended someone. It was not my intention to do so.I'm just giving my two cents.
Patty, if you need someone to talk out ideas or just want to vent I am an email away at grohcm@gmail.com. I will be your ear to vent to or supporter in whatever you need. Cyber buddies are the best to have. Keep blogging. We love to hear from you and would be worries about you if you didn't keep us posted. Best wishes for a happy weekend.
