Great Start for 2011

Since I cannot manage to get motivated today, I thought some blogging would help kick start my engine (I think its working ... he he). So thrilled to share some very awesome news. I was going to wait until the new year but I'm too excited. So my big news is .... I have been published in two more magazines. I saw them right before Christmas and couldn't wait to show you ALL. Its crazy to see your creation in print, its a wonderful feeling.

First up is a card in the new January 2011 Issue in CARDS

Second, is a scrapbook page in the new January 2011 Issue of Scrapbook Trends.I was so thrilled to finally have a layout that made it. I showed it to my husband, he was very excited as well and then did a double take saying "Am I picking my nose?". Ha Ha.

I hope everyone is having a great week. Anyone have any exciting New Year's Plan's? I know we haven't  figured out what we are doing yet (we should probably get on that). Have a great rest of the week everyone.

Paper Posies 2011 Jan. Kit

You ever have those relaxing nights ... the kid and husband are both sleeping ... the house is quiet and your at peace. LOL. Yes that is my night at this moment. I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas. It's still hard to believe Christmas is over. How long do you guys keep your decorations up? We normally take ours down after the New Year. We had a wonderful Christmas and it was so nice to have my hubby home this year to enjoy the season. On top of that we happen to get snow the day after, which was nice. But I have to say, snow is great for day or two but its not something I would want to live with for the whole winter.

Wanted to do a quick post with my first set of projects for the Paper Posies Design Team. This kit was amazing and fun to work with (also perfect for SNOW Pictures).

You can get the new Paper Posies January 2011 Kit HERE if your interested.

December Daily ...

Sorry I've been neglecting my blog for a bit (lots of Christmas activities have been taking place at the Kumfer household). I also have been working on my design team projects for January at Paper Posies. Here's my sneak peek for the NEW January Kit. Cant wait to show you the big reveal with this amazing kit coming soon. You check out the rest of the sneak peeks here on the PP BLOG.

I have been able to squeeze in some of my December Daily (at least the digital part). I'm slowly printing them out. Cant wait to add fun tags and things. Embellishing is always the super fun part. I found these cute tags from Ali Edwards I was going to print out and use for some journaling.

On to some more pages for my DD (once I finish the book I will post the whole thing from start to finish). I definitely give a "Great Job" to the ladies who have kept up on theirs ...

This year Ryan is finally happy to meet Santa. He went all on his own to greet him. Of course he was way too shy to say anything, but he was very happy. So Cute.

I probably wont be back here until next week,
so wanted to wish you all

 HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

More My Cute Stamps ...

Today our weather report is : A wintry mix this morning will transition to mainly rain showers for the afternoon. High 44F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precept 70%. Which means ...

I'm sure my fellow blog readers are laughing very hard right now considering they get 8 inches or more of snow every winter, and I'm talking about slushiness. LOL. I find it kinda funny myself. Seriously, by me, the ice has melted and its raining. Almost reminds me of when I lived Seattle for two years. Anyways, just thought I would share.

So here's another round of MY CUTE STAMPS happiness, using the MERRY WISHES stamp set. You defiantly have to get this set, its so fun.

I needed a quick tag and card for Ryan's teacher. I found her this adorable little doll ornament and thought it would be cute to make a tag instead of getting her the traditional teacher ornament. I thought it turned out nice and is was a simple quick easy project.

Supplies: My Cute Stamps (Merry Wishes) MM (Fa La La Kit) Misc (Tag, Lace)

Have a great rest of the week everyone. I still have cookies to bake, presents to wrap (which Ryan is home, that will not be getting done today), 4 design team projects to work on, and I really need to put this December Daily together. What have I been doing all week? I have no idea. If I'm not back here soon, have a great weekend ....

Its almost Christmas .....

Randomness ...

So I'm doing a little bit of a random post today since I'm in the middle of several different projects. I'm glad everyone liked my useful Target Gift Bag Idea. I actually went back to Target today and got some more bags .... so I'm thinking maybe some cards would be cool. I love Kraft. Thank you for all the super comments.

Before I get to my December Daily, I wanted to share my family's Little Christmas Miracle. Some of you might remember my post months ago worried about my new kittens recent diagnoses with Feline Leukemia.

Lucy is now 6 months old. Last Friday we had her re-tested and the test was NEGATIVE. I'm still in shock.  Lucy is one of 3% of cats who overcame the Feline Leukemia Virus. Before the virus turned into a disease she managed to produce anti-bodies in her little body to fight it off. Those odds are amazing and we are so grateful. Things have been so peaceful here since we heard the news. She now is cage free and enjoying snuggle time with our other cat Charlie.

Thanks for letting me babble about my fur babies .... now on to December Daily. I havent completed as much as I would like to today, but here's an overview of what I'm using. I got all this from TARGET.

I know your seeing wrapping paper and thinking "HUH", but I will get to that shortly. The binder is from the planner section in Target and its about 6x8 (perfect size for the December Daily templates from Ali Edwards). The planner is actually a make your own planner (Keeping it Together Kit) so I got the pocket folders to go in the binder. I thought it will be perfect for all my Christmas cards from people. Okay so the wrapping paper .... I am a thrifty scrapper at times. I love flocked paper but wont spend the $2 bucks. LOL. Well I fell in love with this wrapping paper. Lets just say after some white card stock and spray on adhesive I now am the proud owner of flocked paper I LOVE.

Tip: Use spray adhesive on the card stock and glue it to the wrapping paper. You avoid bubbles. Couple more pages for my DD book. Cant wait to print all of these out. Also it will be nice to add all the journaling tags and fun accents.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far and staying warm. Its been very cold by us, how about you? Be back later this week with some more projects finished, hopefully.

My Cute Stamps & Target

So excited to share this with you today .... I was in Target the other day, my husband was looking for a particular set of lights .... so I looked at the Christmas stuff while waiting. I love looking at the bags and cards at Target. Such cute stuff. Well I came across these Kraft bags. Everyone knows I LOVE KRAFT (or as my mother calls it Cardboard). LOL.

So after finding these wonderful bags, I decided who said gift bags should just be for gift giving. My first DT project for My Cute Stamps was going to be a page, I went stamping crazy with these adorable MERRY WISHES stamps.

I am in love with that tree and cant wait to use it again. One tip while stamping on these bags: get a couple just in case you mess up. I already want to get more bags. But no one has to pull my arm to go to Target. LOL. Here's my finished page.  I could not be anymore thrilled how it turned out. Its so hard to believe my son was that little just a couple years ago. Time sure flies ...

Supplies: Ac (merry mint paper pack), The Paper Loft (Winter/Christmas CS stickers) CI (cardboard paper) My Cute Stamps (Merry Wishes) Misc (Staz-On Ink, Target Gift Bags, White CS, fine glitter)

Another page added to my Multi-Page Album ...

Hope you were inspired .... See you tomorrow with my December Daily Album. Couple more Target finds to share for your everyday scrapping ...
