Scraplift Thursday !!!
You know how you want to create something and you just don’t know what? Well that’s when I go through my folder on my CPU and find a layout that I have been wanting to lift; it tends to get the juices following. Here is a great page I found on Studio Calico’s Blog by Papirdiva. I loved the simplicity of it and had to copy ….

Finally a Layout ….
So I have been working on this layout for a week … no joke … with all the kitten commotion I just did not have time to finish it. When I got back from Vacation, I was catching up on blogging and saved a sketch from Studio Calicos Blog. < Always love their Ideas. I am satisfied; it just drove me crazy that it took this long to finish this page.
All right back to creating … one of my best friends is getting married next week and I am in the process of making her table numbers & menus. Earlier this month I made her Dinner Rehearsal Invites. It is always nice to make something different. Oh and in case you are wondering about my kitties because of my last post … we decided to keep Little Lucy regardless of the possible Feline Leukemia she might have. There is a possible chance that my other cat may get it, but I am taking every precaution possible. That means separate litter boxes (which I almost got them trained to do that), separate food bowls, ECT. My other cat also has the shot. We are taking it month by month, because we will not know really anything more until she gets a little older. As of right now, Lucy is a feisty little playful kitten and I feel I made the right decision.

Stay Positive Patty ....
Sorry no crafty post today; I am actually doing this post at 5 am so this shows you I have something on my mind. Everyone who knows me well, knows I love SLEEP. LOL. So I have to say so many positive things have happen this year, 2010 is defiantly my year for change.Last weekend I celebrated my 7th year anniversary with my hubby. It was nice, we went over to my mom’s and she watched our son while we went and enjoyed a night at the Hilton, accompanied by dinner and movie. We have not seen a non-kid movie in a theater in a decade. LOL. As most of you saw, we welcomed a new pet into our family. My husband said she was my anniversary present. Little Lucy ….
This is my 7-year-old cat Charlie. My number two baby next to my son. LOL. Lucy and Charlie have actually bonded to my surprise. I had to immediately take him to the vet and get him test for “Feline Leukemia” since he apparently was exposed to it for 2 weeks.
In case you are wondering “What is Feline Leukemia?” A retrovirus that primarily affects cats, is transmitted through saliva, and causes suppression of the immune system and anemia, leading to opportunistic infections and diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma. Since this Virus is so contagious These two are not doing this anymore.
Since we have gotten so many different answers on her prognosis, we have her in another room away from Charlie. Charlie did test negative and got his shot, but it is not a 100%. I still have to take him back in about a month to be re-tested one more time. At this point, there are many options for Lucy on what could happen:
-She could test negative due to a defective test
-The virus could be fought off in a couple months (but being only 9 weeks her immune system is not as strong as an adult cat)
-She is infected and we have to put her down so she will not suffer in the future. Most cats with this disease live to about 2-3 years.
So as you can understand this waiting is very stressful. Though Lucy has not been in our family very long, we have all began to form a bond with her. I am also worried about Charlie. What if he was exposed to long? It is just a lot of waiting and questions.
Praying things turn out with a Happy Ending.

Hot Dogs and Sparklers ….
Hope everyone had a super awesome Fourth of July weekend. My parents came to visit so we had a nice time eating and enjoying the outdoors. Oh and cannot forget blowing up the backyard with fireworks. I have to say that is “The Mans” favorite part of the holiday. Here's a couple of my favorite pics from the weekend .....
Layout time … Oh and before I forget … KI Memories Blog is doing a whole week of July 4th layouts in case you need some inspiration. You might remember this layout I did earlier in the year. This is one of my favorites, this pic is from last july 4th.
Here's a quick page I did with the left overs from that layout to add to my scrapbook. I know this Doodlebug stuff is soooo OLD, but I still love it.
Supplies: Doodlebug Designs Inc. (Uncle Sam Papers & Cardstock Stickers)
Misc. (Acetate Sheets, Signo white gel pen, Navy Tread for hand-stiching)

Wanted to do a quick post so you all could meet the new member in our family. Her name is "Lucy" she's 8 weeks old. My 7 year old cat Charlie had a few issues, but as the days have gone by things are back to normal and the both of them are becoming great friends ....
I even have myself another scrapbook buddy ....
