Deck the Halls ...

It’s that time of year again …. I love the Holidays. My favorite part is decorating. My husband and I normally do it together, but since he is deployed this year I was on my own. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I decided not to participate in the Craziness of Black Friday this year. I was surprised to see in the newspaper ads that the sales were really not that great. If you weren’t going for a flat screen TV there was no reason to get up at 3am. LOL.
Here are a quick couple of pics of the North Pole in my house. I normally put more decor up, but this will due for 2009.

I love my IKEA Jars. I always put hard candy in them threw out the year. Well during Christmas time I like to dress them up a little bit to flow with the rest of the Holiday Kitchen. I had some extra Bella Blvd. December Details stuff. Pretty good for a 2 second craft project.

I LOVE Bargains …

So today I went out with a friend to Michaels & Joann’s. Since we have no scrap store I’m limited to those places. I love Michael’s they always have new products. Today I found this great AC Patterned Paper Pad MerryMint. It’s so fun and can’t wait to use it!!!
I love to shop. My mother thinks I’m a shopaholic, LOL!!! Well I love when I find bargains, I happen to stop in Tuesday Morning one day and found a JACKPOT of Scrapbook items discounted. I was in Bargain heaven. Who would have thought all the places to find scrap stuff was at Tuesday Morning. Here’s my LOT of KI Memories goodies I happen to find this month. Woohoo!!!

Another Quick Post ....

So, when I placed my big Bella Blvd order threw 2peas to make my class kits, I couldn’t resist there new "Honey I'm Home" Collection. I had too have it. I was not sure what I was going to use it for, but like every scrapbook item I buy I know I will use it eventually. I decided to take a little vacation from my etsy shop. It’s been nice taking a break to work on my own things. So here’s my latest creation. I knew I would come up with something. I happen to have some scraps from the scrapbook page, so I also made a quick card and altered mini gift paint can.

Supplies: Bella Blvd “Honey I’m Home” (All you need Paper, Couch Potatoe Paper, & Bits of Bella Paper)
Heidi Grace (chipboard hearts) Misc: Chipboard (painted)

My Parisian Escape

Today I've been cleaning my creative space. Thought this is a perfect time to show you were I create and how I organize my area (before it becomes a mess ... again). It took me a long time to come up with a theme and what colors for a perfect scrapbook room. Since we move so much, I wanted to pick something that could go in any room. So I pick a black & cream parisian theme. The office set I got at Staples. I absolutely love it. When I first started paper crafting an obsession I started with a plastic table and wire cubes from Target; so this is a wonderful upgrade.

Organization is a big thing in my room. Sometimes I think I organize more than scrapbook. I love my white cabinets from Lowes. They are perfect for holding paper and misc. crafts. When I first got them they were just soooo … WHITE!!! Then my wonderful hubby bought me a Pazzles for Christmas. That’s when a short vinyl obsession began. I love how my cabinets turned out. Vinyl is great becuase if I ever change my mind and decided I want something different, I can just peel it off.

Yes, this is my Paper. I swear I know what’s going on in this cabinet. All my paper is organized by a main theme. I also have a couple spots organized by brand. I tend to by things in kits. When that happens, I organize them in 3 Ring American Craft Binders. My stamps are organized in the same closet with the cabinet. I tend to organize them by clear, rubber, and stampin up stamps.

I guess the last organization tip I use for my room. I am a file queen. I file whatever I can. I file all my misc. stickers and die cuts in a file cabinet by theme and if its 3 dimensional or not. Also, going through my fonts, digital kits, and stamps when I’m working on a project drives me crazy. I should just stop buying stuff. LOL. I like to make copies off the stamps I by and out them in a binder. It works well for me when I’m working on something.

I always like to get ideas from other on how they decorate and organize their creative spaces. Hopefully if you’re in the process of creating your room, this might give you some ideas.

Good Evening ...

So, since I am not able to share what I really have been working on these last couple days (due to the fact it's Christmas present's for my mom & mother in-law and don’t want them to see it). I thought I would share a couple of Digital Layouts I've made recently. I really enjoy both Scrapbooking Mediums. Digital Scrapbooking is great for night's I feel creative, but don’t feel like getting all the paper and glue out. Enjoy!!!

OKAY, lets try this again ...

So it’s been quite a day …. First I had some Blog issues. Thanks to Zoe Pearn referring me to Becca from Graffiti Chicks my Blog issues are solved. Becca if you are reading this, Thank you again so much for fixing my blog!!!

So last night, I had to stop procrastinating and complete the samples for the Scrapbook Class I’m holding at my home on Dec. 4th. I am very excited about the class, also kind of nervous. I haven’t taught a class in a very long time. I was able to get the samples done and the class flyer printed. I love the papers and kit I decided to use. It’s a great line from Bella Blvd. December Details.

Also, some of last night and today I was able to get most of the kit pre-cut and organized for 10 people. I think my Pazzle machine needs a rest!!! Well I am off to bed. Hope everyone has a great rest of there weekend.

So … What Now!!!

Finally got my Blog up running, thanks to my wonderful husband. This probably wouldn’t have been possible without him. I’m all thinking Blogging is easy just like MySpace … HTML…. is a piece of cake. Yeah, I was way wrong!!! I’m sure once I get the hang of it though, it will be as easy as putting on a pair of socks.(Have to add a quick thanks to Zoe Pearn. She is one awesome digital scrapbook designer. I love her Digital Scrapbook Kits. I got this “Blog in Box” which defiantly helped out a lot with the start of my Blog Adventure. I got it at Sweet Shoppe Designs.) Not quite sure what I’m going to put on my blog yet …. Where blogging might take me …. But it’s nice to know I have place to share what’s new with life and what I’m creating from day to day.
